Footy Show host Sam Newman has been criticised for mocking New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern's accent.

On Tuesday, Ms Ardern gave a moving speech in parliament during which she vowed never to name Brenton Tarrant, the man accused of attacking two mosques in Christchurch on Friday.  

Afterwards, Newman wrote on Twitter: 'Thank heavens NZ prime minister said she will never mention the name of the terrorist. How grating is her accent?'
