A beauty blogger tested the resilience of luxury and value mascara by spraying her face with pepper spray.

KY Col. Brandi, from the US, tested a fancy $24 (£18.19) Better Than Sex mascara against a cheap water-resistant $4 (£3.03) Wet'n'Wild mascara by putting one on each eye before spraying the repellent on her face.

Howling with pain and saying she'd like to shoot herself, KY found the more expensive eye make-up ran down her face while the cheaper one stayed in place.
