Footage shows accused Christchurch gunman shooting at pedestrians from his car

Accused Christchurch shooter Brenton Tarrant allegedly fired at pedestrians from his car while en route to carry out an attack at a second mosque, according to a disturbing new video.

Security footage from a hotel car park on Deans Avenue, just 300 metres away from Al Noor, captured the moment the accused gunman drove away from the mosque after allegedly killing 42 worshippers during Friday prayer.

The 28-year-old Australian suspect is believed to have been on his way to the Linwood mosque, where he is accused of killing an additional eight people.

The video, first obtained by CNN, is timestamped at 1.42pm, one minute after New Zealand Police received the first call.
