A CCTV camera at the KindaKafe shop, which offers free coffee to people in need, caught the thankless man swiping the device at around 1.30pm on Monday While the barista's back was turned he leaned over the counter and stuffed the device into a bag for life. The man, who came in to the cafe with another woman, quickly left unnoticed, with staff only realising the iPad had gone 45 minutes later. The cafe in Norwich, Norfolk, is now appealing to help find the iPad. In the footage the man can be seen pacing up and down in front of the counter Manager Tom Gaskin, 32, said as the device belonged to a member of staff and was bought by their partner, the matter has been reported to the police. He said: 'We see a lot of people in desperate situations but he just took advantage. 'We are a charity all about kindness and compassion and doing random acts of kindness that will hopefully be paid forward and we help a lot of people. 'We don't want to discourage people from donating to the cafe because a lot of people benefit from the pay-it-forward scheme. 'We've had a lot of support through Facebook hoping that we get the iPad back.' The pay-it-forward scheme is designed to help people in need, offering a free drink or meal on certain nights and is donated to the cafe by other generous customers.
