A murderer who lured a teenager into his ute and killed her during a sexual assault will appeal his conviction.
Francis John Wark was in January 2018 found guilty of murdering 17-year-old Hayley Dodd, who disappeared in 1999 while walking along a remote road in Wheatbelt, Western Australia.
Justice Lindy Jenkins sentenced Wark to life with a minimum of 21 years in jail, almost 20 years after her disappearance.
Hayley's body has never been found.

Sam Van Dongen, Wark's lawyer, told the Court of Appeal on Thursday Justice Jenkins had not given his client's evidence proper credibility, the ABC reported.
Wark, who owned a property in Badgingarra near where Hayley was last seen, has denied involvement in the teenagers disappearance.
He was charged with the cold case murder of Hayley in 2015
