Diane Downs' daughter started sending letters to her child killer mom

The daughter born to notorious child killer Diane Downs in prison has revealed she started sending letters to her biological mother after dealing with the pain of having to give her own baby up for adoption.

Becky Babcock, now 34, was adopted soon after her mother Diane gave birth to her in Oregon in 1984.

For years she didn't know who her biological mother was and only later learned that Downs had become pregnant with her while on trial for murder and attempted murder.

Downs was sentenced to life in prison plus 50 years after being convicted of shooting her three children and killing one of them in 1983. She was in love with a married man and believed she could win him over if she got rid of her children.

Babcock is now speaking out about her biological mother in an ABC 20/20 special to air on Friday.
