Volunteers in Iowa have waded through freezing floodwaters to save 32 dogs trapped in a 'hoarding' house.

Rescuers in Mills County were called to the water ravaged property Sunday to save the stricken animals, after the owner was evacuated in wake of the widespread flooding which has drenched the Midwest.

Many of the canines were on the brink of death and some may be pregnant, according to WOWT.
