A father was killed after falling asleep at the wheel while driving his son home from playing for the Bank of England cricket team.
Alexander Merriman, 61, died during the 400-mile round trip when a wooden fence post smashed through the windscreen of his Audi Q5 on the M4 motorway.
An inquest heard finance expert Alexander had been to watch his son Andrew, 20, play cricket for the Bank of England cricket club in Kent.
The pair then headed to Andrew's student accommodation at Cardiff University to clear it out - before heading back to their London home.

But the father fell asleep at the wheel with his son beside him as they made their way home up the M4 to London.
An inquest heard witnesses spotted the car veering off the motorway before smashing into the fence on the M4 near Coldra, Newport.
Andrew - studying ancient history in Cardiff - said he had fallen asleep while his father was driving and woke up as they entered the hard shoulder.
