Shocking footage shows careless drivers terrifying horses - by not stopping to allow the animals to pass.
The clips show several incidents where horses appear to be clearly distressed as the drivers ignore riders screams to 'stop'.
One incident shows a lorry narrowly passing a horse on a single carriageway, with the animal appearing petrified.
The footage has been released by the British Horse Society, who reported that in the last year, four people have died and a further 115 have been injured in incidents involving vehicles and horses.
They also revealed that 87 horses have lost their lives in the same type of incidents.
Since 2010, more than 40 people have lost their lives in horse and vehicle related incidents, with over 1,000 injured.
In one of the videos, a horse rider can be seen slowly trotting along a country lane, but a car driving at a very fast speed can suddenly be seen and is forced to do an emergency stop.
