Alleged Tinder rapist to backflip on guilty plea

An alleged 'shape-shifter' rapist who pleaded guilty to raping women he met on Tinder will return to court tomorrow in an attempt to change his plea.

Glenn Antony Dylan Hartland, 44, of Melbourne's Moonee Ponds, lured his victims in with a variety of tall tales, they claim.

'One minute he's a lawyer, the next he's a pro snowboarder,' one woman said.

Hartland pleaded guilty to raping three woman and indecently assaulting a fourth in October, but he was released on bail.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal Hartland has made an application with the County Court of Victoria to change his pleas to not guilty on all counts.

The woman had been contacted by Hartland on snapchat while he was on bail, which saw him locked up last November.

Police alleged Hartland had called the woman a 'false accuser' and sent her a photo of her location.

He spent two months in jail before pleading guilty to the crime and being released in January with time already served.

He remains free in the community.

One of his alleged victims told Daily Mail Australia she was disgusted with not only Hartland's proposed change of plea, but the fact that he will likely remain free until his trial - if granted by the court.

The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said she had contacted detectives from the Family Violence Taskforce expressing her concerns.
