Astonishing footage has emerged of a slippery passenger hitchhiking a free ride on a car bonnet.
Rebecca Mills was heading home from a weekend camping trip with her husband David, their children and the family dog near Cairns in Queensland's far north when they suddenly realised a snake had hitched a ride.
A reptile crawled out from under the car bonnet to make a surprise appearance, much to the shock of the family and passing motorists travelling in the opposite direction, including a busload of tourists.
