A horrifying prison video has revealed the bloody aftermath of a jihadist's savage assault on his cellmate.

Bourhan Hraichie, 21, used a razor to carve 'E4E' - which stands for the ISIS slogan 'eye for an eye' - into his cellmate Michael O'Keefe's head in 2016.

He also whipped him with an electrical cord and tried to waterboard him during a barbaric attack at a prison in mid New South Wales.

After the attack, the ISIS fanatic was moved to Goulburn's Supermax jail where he wrote a letter threatening to kill NSW Corrective Services Commissioner Peter Severin if he didn't stop his staff 'oppressing' him.

'I will personally execute you in public,' the letter said.

Hraichie also referenced his attack on former solider O'Keefe, writing: 'I turned your Army soldier into an Islamic State sketch pad.'

O'Keefe was in 2017 awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars after he sued the government for failing to protect him in jail.

Hraichie, who became an ISIS supporter as a teenager, planned to attack correctional services officers, according to a statement of agreed facts tendered in the NSW Supreme Court on Monday.

He also planned a terrorist attack to drive a truck through the streets during Sydney's gay and lesbian Mardi Gras parade in 2017 if he were released on parole.

The jihadist has pleaded guilty to four charges and is being sentenced today.

His charges include doing an act in preparation for a terrorist act, causing grievous bodily harm/wounding to a person with intent to murder and sending a document threatening death or grievous bodily harm.

The facts say that before Hraichie entered custody on non-terror-related offences in 2015, he spoke about a plan to have police officers killed in Bankstown - either on the steps of the police station or after calling officers to the false report of a stolen car.

In prison, he wrote a document titled The Book of Jihad to provide inspiration for the plan, before it was abandoned and he started preparing to attack corrective services officers.

When Hraichie learned his cellmate was a former Army soldier, he attacked him by punching him, binding him with ropes he'd made out of bed sheets, whipping him with a cable and carving his forehead with a razor.

It was after his transfer in 2016 that he
