The notorious Salt Creek kidnapper is currently suing South Australia Police and his own son.

Roman Heinze was sentenced to 22 years in 2017 after he kidnapped a Brazilian backpacker, with an intent to rape her, and attacked her German companion.

He hit the second victim with a hammer and repeatedly struck her with his 4WD, which was later found to be covered in her blood.
