Samantha Bustos, 15, was found dead in Compton, California on Monday after going missing on Friday
The family of a teenage California girl who went missing on Friday is in mourning after her body was found outside an industrial park near Compton.
Investigators say Samantha Bustos-Vital, 15, of Gardena, California was discovered around 1.30am Monday laying face down in some bushes in the 500 block of West Victoria Street near a fenced-off area of Dominguez Hills Industrial Park.
The girl's body had a 'traumatic injury' to her upper torso, the county sheriff's department said in a press release. Bustos's uncle, Jose Bautistas, said she was 'bruised and cut.'
Her death has been ruled a homicide by the county coroner.
