A Victorian man incredibly won the Oz Lotto jackpot twice after buying two tickets with the same winning numbers, scoring himself a mammoth prize of $46.6million. Today Show reporter Christine Ahern was outside the Tatts shop in Footscray where the winner purchased one of his lucky tickets on Wednesday morning, and asked a man delivering fish if he happened to be the winner. Today Show reporter Christine Ahern (pictured) was outside the Tatts shop in Footscray where the man purchased one of his lucky tickets on Wednesday morning A delivery worker, named Reggie (right), responded with a cheeky one-liner 'We do have some men unloading the fish here this morning, I'm just going to ask one - excuse me sir... have you won $50million from this shop?' she asked one the men. The delivery worker, named Reggie, responded with a cheeky one-liner. 'No my dear, I didn't. But if it was me, darling, me and you would be at the airport right now, just me and you', Reggie said. 'Good to know,' Ms Ahern replied. 'Hopefully the next one sir.' After finishing her live cross, Ms Ahern raised her hand to her head and let out a laugh. 'I love it, you and Reggie off to the airport, beautiful, what characters I love it ' Today Show co-host Deborah Knight said. Ms Ahern later tweeted about the encounter with Reggie. 'Nearly got lucky in Footscray...' she tweeted alongside a video of the interaction. The real winner - described as a 'hard-working man from St Albans' - was in disbelief when lottery staff called to tell him about his win on Tuesday. 'Am I seeing things? I just checked my entry online and I think I know what you're about to tell me,' he said. 'I'm speechless. I can't believe it... I just finished work for the night.' The man bought a ticket at Winning Lotteries St Albans and then accidentally bought another one with the same numbers at Footscray Lottery Centre. Each ticket for Tuesday night's $70 million Oz Lotto Jackpot won him $23.3million. A third winner in Hobart who is yet to claim their $23.3million prize. After finishing her live cross to the studio Ms Ahern raised her hand to her head and let out a laugh The winning numbers were 12, 28, 24, 29, 9, 18 and 25. The supplementary numbers are 13 and 31. The $46million winner said he had been playing the same numbers for thirty years. 'I play every week. I have always marked my entries but I have never chosen the numbers on anything in particular. They weren't special before, but they are now,' he said. Talking about what to do next, the man said: 'I need time for the news to register. 'I might think about retiring. First maybe a new home or a holiday. 'I'll definitely share it with my family.' Matt Hart, spokesman for lottery organisers The Lott, described the draw as 'remarkable.' 'What's remarkable about tonight's draw is that there were three division one entries, but two winners,' he said. 'The reason for this, the two Victorian entries are held by the one registered player.' Share or comment on this article: All rights reserved for this news site dailymail and under his responsibility
