Two children have survived a horror head-on crash that killed their mother.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Sturt and Old Sturt Highways in South Australia's Riverland region shortly before 7.30pm on Tuesday night after a B-Double truck and car collided.
The driver of the car, a 45-year-old woman from the region, died at the scene despite desperate attempts by paramedics to revive her.

Her two children, a 12-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl, suffered minor injuries and were taken to Berri Hospital for treatment.
