Sadistic suitcase killer Daniel Holdom confessed his crimes to his former ...

The former long-time partner of a sadistic killer lashed out and accused him of cheating on her when she found another woman's identification cards in his possession.

But Daniel James Holdom assured Hazel Passmore he was not having an affair, and shockingly confessed to raping and murdering his former lover Karlie Pearce-Stevenson before killing her daughter and stealing the 20-year-old's identity.

Holdom was charged for his crimes in 2015 - more than seven years after he dumped the body of Ms Pearce-Stevenson in NSW's Belanglo State Forest and tossed the remains of her two-year-old child, Khandalyce, on the side of a South Australian highway in a suitcase.

Ms Passmore later relayed her former partner's confession to police and helped convict Holdom, despite initially standing by him - something she claims to have done out of fear.

Details of her statement to police have since emerged, revealing graphic details about the extent of her knowledge of Holdom's crimes, 60 Minutes reported.

Ms Passmore told officers she confronted Holdom after finding Ms Pearce-Stevenson's pension and Medicare card, as well as Khandalyce's birth certificate, in his car.

She said she believed Holdom had struck up a secret relationship.

'I was yelling and screaming "What the f--- is this s---?"... I was going off my nut and he pulled me inside, literally by the scruff of the neck.'

'He threw the chair… he starts shaking me and he's like, "She's disappeared, she's gone, she's gone." And I'm like, "What do you mean she's gone?" And he like, "She's dead, she's dead",' she told officers.

Reports suggest young Khandalyce was likely suffocated before her body was stuffed in the black suitcase that her remains were found in almost seven years later, in July of 2015

She said he confessed to sexually assaulting Ms Pearce-Stevenson with a bottle, before he 'stomped on her throat and crushed her windpipe.'

Holdom also allegedly confessed to sexually assaulting Khandalyce before suffocating her to death and stuffing the two-year-old's body in a suitcase.

He also often pressed her to share details of her own experiences of sexual assault as a child.

She said the confession was not startling, and that over the course of their relationship Holdom had expressed interest in child abuse material.

After their murders, the 41-year-old assumed Ms Pearce-Stevenson's identity to avoid raising suspicion.

While Ms Pearce-Stevenson was still deemed a missing person, her bank card was being regularly used, with almost $72,000 taken from her account.
