The over-18s electronic festival promised much more than just music, and sold itself as 'an experience, a philosophy, a journey.' Electronic artists Ace Ventura, Morten Granau, Alpha Portal and Freedom Fighters headlined the festival and played sets across three tent stages on Saturday despite showers threatening to spoil the night. Thousands of colourful revellers flocked to Melbourne's Paradigm Festival - which was marketed as 'more than just music' and promised attendees a 'wild ride' Leopard-print costumes was a popular choice - with these attendees both going for two-piece looks and chunky Dr Marten's boots One party-goer stood out from the sea of fluro by wearing iridescent fairy wings, chunky platform shoes and baby-pink hair extensions threaded through her braids This couple opted for his-and-hers skull masks, with white Nike and Adidas sneakers and crisp white tops - which no doubt wouldn't have stayed so white in the festival mud Bum bags, silver leather, pink fur, 90s sunglasses, chunky platform shoes and bright hair clips were among the popular looks on the day The festival started early-afternoon and didn't wrap up until after 10pm, with tickets starting at $120. No expense was spared when it came to costumes for the day - with fluro, fairy wings, latex and leather, skimpy bikinis and sequins on show as music lovers tried to outdo each other. Thousands of revellers weren't letting the wet weather get their spirits down, with rain ponchos a popular accessory for the night. It was the third and final Paradigm for the year, capping off Brisbane last weekend and Sydney on Friday. Many revelers donned rain ponchos to brave the Melbourne Autumn weather - with some attendees deciding to wear matching ponchos with cross detailing Hot pink sheer clothing and patent leather was a big theme for the electronic festival, with this party-goer matching her eye shadow to her shoes and top Black mesh, chains, combat boots, bright colours and flares were popular among party-goers - which was the final Paradigm for the year after shows in Brisbane and Sydney Police charged 43 people with drug offences, with three of those arrested charged on summons with possessing a drug of dependence, while the other 39 were issued a caution.
