A terrified mother has spoken of her horror after a man snuck into the family home and tried to abduct her daughter.

Catherine McCracken, chased a man out of her home who tried to take the six-year-old in the early hours of Saturday morning.

It wasn't until the next morning that her daughter told her the disturbing details of the incident, which took place in County Armagh, Northern Ireland.

She told Belfast Live:  'My daughter told me that a man rubbed her hair in a circular motion and her arm.
