Man, 18, who fell to his death after climbing onto an atrium at a pub while celebrating a friend's 21st birthday party is remembered as a 'positive and happy person' A teenager tragically fell to his death during a 21st birthday party on Saturday  Jack James, 18, was with friends at a town pub on the border of Vic and NSW  Witnesses saw the teen climb out of the window and onto a roof, which collapsed James died from his injuries and there are no suspicious circumstances: police 'You had such a positive view on the world, always happy, always smiling'

A man has lost his life after falling through a pub roof while celebrating a close friend's 21st birthday party.  

Jack James, 18, was out with a group of friends at The Royal Hotel in Corowa, on the border of New South Wales and Victoria, on Saturday night when the fatal event unfolded.

At some point in the evening, the young man climbed out of the pub's window and onto an atrium hanging over the Stanley Street beer garden.

Mr James then stepped on a laser light panel, reportedly causing the roof to cave in under his weight.
