The sentence means that 47-year-old Stacie Meehan Vande Wetering could avoid a felony record if she complies with the program's requirements, which include drug and alcohol testing. Vande Wetering, who is also known as 'Cheffy' and previously competed on the Food Network's 'Guy's Grocery Games' (hosted by Guy Fieri) and 'Beat Bobby Flay' shows, admitted to embezzling from a local yacht club while in court last week, according to the Sun Herald of Biloxi. The chef was also ordered last week to pay back the $10,319 in embezzled funds, along with other fines. While working for the club, the chef was briefly executive chef at the Biloxi Yacht Club. Prosecutors said she stole the money from the company at various times between January 27, 2017 and September 27, 2017. The former executive chef of Lakewood Club in Fairhope, Alabama, also owned and oversaw her own spot called Cheffy By the Bay Catering in Daphne, Alabama. Now, all but $500 of the $10,319 Vande Wetering must pay back will go to the Singing River Yacht Club's insurance carrier. The $500 will go directly to the yacht club. The court also fined her $250 and ordered her to pay $100 to the Victim’s Compensation fund. Vande Wetering was indicted on the felony charge of embezzling by a Jackson County grand jury in 2018.
