The quarterback and Pechanec, both 29, chose to marry in the Czech Republic, where Pechanec's parents are from. Pechanec, who was born in New Jersey, moved to the Czech Republic during her teenage years to train as a gymnast and compete with the national team. She then attended Stanford University, where she met Luck. The couple both have architectural design degrees from the prestigious university. Pechanec also has an MBA from Indiana University and currently works as a field producer for ESPN and NBC. The former gymnast was born in Newark and was homeschooled so she could focus on the sport. Her mother, also a former gymnast, was her coach. Luck credited his future wife's athletic background with helping him recover from a severe shoulder injury, according to the Indianapolis Star. The quarterback had to sit out the entire 2017 NFL season after he underwent surgery for his throwing shoulder. 'I wouldn't have gotten through it if not for Nicole,' Luck told John Feinstein for his book 'Quarterback'. Pechanec also has an MBA from Indiana University and currently works as a field producer for ESPN and NBC.
