A woman has claimed that what should have been a standard beauty treatment has left her face permanently scarred and pigmentation damage.
Lillian Paul told A Current Affair on Wednesday she recently visited a local beauty salon in Melbourne to undergo a laser hair removal on her face.
But instead of walking out with smooth skin, she claims the treatment stripped the pigmentation from her face, leaving a distinct discolouration that required months of painful treatment.
Having never tried the service before, Ms Paul said she wasn't quite sure what to expect, but was surprised with the 'excruciating' pain.
As a part of her recovery, Ms Paul (pictured) had to 'peel the skin on her face back to let it heal.' She said she now wears a lot of colour correcting foundation
