A man who says he was afflicted with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder after surviving the shooting massacre in Las Vegas has claimed in a lawsuit that his employer told him to 'suck it up.'
Charles Giampaolo, 36, of Torrington, Connecticut was not injured but his father-in-law was among the 58 killed in the October 2017 shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival.
Giampaolo says in his suit filed on Tuesday that Torrington-based Elevator Service Co. discriminated against him, subjected him to a hostile work environment, and retaliated against him, all in violation of state law, eventually prompting him to resign.
The suit claims that in the weeks after Giampaolo returned from Las Vegas, company owners Steve and Linda Roth told him he had a 'bad attitude,' according to the Republican American.
