Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez mocked President Trump's response to a Congressional request to see his tax returns.
The freshman lawmaker waded into the debate around the House Ways and Means Committee's formal request to the Internal Revenue Service for six years' worth of Trump's personal and business tax returns.
Just hours after the subpoena was made to the IRS to release Trump's 2013 to 2018 tax returns, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez mocked the president's assertion he was 'not inclined' to release the documents.
Trump was asked about the formal congressional request and he told reporters: 'Until such time as I'm not under audit, I would not be inclined to do it.'
Ocasio-Cortez then tweeted in a parody of Trump's response, 'we didn't ask you'.
