Anna Sorokin, the fake German heiress accused of lying about who she was to get multi-million dollar loans and hoodwink Manhattan's elite, wept in court again on Thursday as she faced fraud charges.
Sorokin, 28, was dressed in an all-black outfit which appeared to have been put together by her stylist, unlike in previous days when she was unhappy with her outfit and forced to wear either her prison garb or a court-appointed ensemble.
But the clothes, which have been a source of tension in the trial, did nothing to raise her mood.
She wept at the defense table and had to be comforted by her lawyer Todd Spodek.

Sorokin is accused of using her alias, Anna Delvey, to try to swindle bankers out of $22million to fund a private arts club.
She allegedly told them she had a $68million fortune and was a German heiress.
She also allegedly skipped out on hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of hotel and restaurant bills before being arrested in 2018.
Her trial has this week heard from one of the bankers she asked for a loan who sent her explicit text messages after their first meeting.
On Wednesday, she delayed proceedings by refusing to come out because she was unhappy with her outfit.
Her lawyer scrambled to find clothes in a bag for her then took the outfit to her holding cell but she was still unhappy with them.
Eventually, she emerged wearing a white shirt and black pants which the court had ordered her to wear.
