It's believed the woman contracted the disease in mid-March while visiting the Eastwood shopping precinct, including the Eastwood Shopping Centre, in Sydney's northwest. She spent time in several areas between March 28 and April 4 including Crows Nest and Eastwood while infectious. NSW Health is urging people who may be susceptible to measles and who may have been in the same locations to be alert for symptoms of measles until April 22. A woman in her 40s has become the fourth person diagnosed with measles in NSW in a week It's believed the woman contracted the disease in mid-March while visiting the Eastwood Shopping Centre (pictured), as well as other locations in the Eastwood shopping precinct, in Sydney's northwest Thirty-one people have now been diagnosed with the highly contagious disease in NSW since Christmas Day. Earlier this week, two babies too young to be vaccinated were confirmed to have caught the disease in Sydney. One of the infants, an 11-month old, likely caught the infection in the Eastwood area, while the other, an 8-month old, is thought to have contracted the infection in the Haymarket Area near World Square. Authorities on Thursday also confirmed a different young woman had been diagnosed with the disease. The woman, who became the fourth case of measles in NSW in a week, is believed to have contracted the disease while visiting the Eastwood shopping precinct, including the Eastwood shopping centre (pictured) in Sydney's northwest She was likely to have been exposed to the highly contagious disease in the waiting room of an Eastwood GP. NSW Health says measles symptoms include 'fever, sore eyes and a cough followed three or four days later by a red, blotchy rash spreading from the head and neck to the rest of the body.' NSW Health Director of Communicable Diseases, Dr Vicky Sheppeard also added: 'If you develop symptoms, please call ahead to your GP to ensure you do not wait in the waiting room with other patients.' Measles is highly contagious and spreads in the ear through coughing or sneezing by someone who is unwell.
