A 25-year-old teacher who was fired from her middle school job after a topless selfie she sent to an ex-boyfriend resurfaced in the hands of students three years later has recalled the moment her male principal confronted her with the image on his computer.
Lauren Miranda was fired from Bellport Middle School in Long Island, New York, last month when students started circulating a topless selfie she had sent a former boyfriend in 2016.
She does not know how they got a hold of the photograph but is suing the school district for gender discrimination on the grounds that a male teacher would not be fired in the same way as she has been.
In an interview with ABC's Nightline about her ordeal, she recalled the moment she was called into her principal's office to discuss the photograph.
