A father has been killed in front of his son after a helicopter fell out of the sky and crashed on a busy Florida highway.  

Passenger Deodat Gangapersaud, 72, died when one of the helicopter's rotor blades came flying off the aircraft and penetrated his son Ryan Persaud's truck.

The 35-year-old was driving the Chevrolet Silverado with his father in the passenger seat when the blade struck their vehicle in Palm River at around 2.30pm Thursday.
