A serial thief has been jailed after he broke into a McDonald's delivery van - just two minutes after he walked out of court.
Bernard Rawstron, 44, stole a wallet, mobile phone and sat nav worth a total of £1000 from the van in Blackburn, Lancashire.
He had only just left court after pleading guilty to two charges of vehicle interference and using threatening behaviour.
Catherine Allen, prosecuting, said Rawstron had shown 'complete contempt' to the court by carrying out the offence so soon after being sentenced.
