opens up about her husband Kanye West's bipoloar disorder

Kim Kardashian West is opening up on her husband Kanye West's bipolar disorder, and says she was brought to tears when he first wore Trump's red Make America Great Again hat.

The famed rapper announced his diagnosis of bipolar disorder to the world last summer, even scrawling 'I hate being bipolar. It's awesome' on his last album cover. He later told Donald Trump during an Oval Office visit in October he was misdiagnosed and instead suffers from sleep deprivation.

Kim clarified that Kanye has once again accepted the bipolar diagnosis.

'I think we're in a pretty good place with it now,' Kardashian said.

'It is an emotional process, for sure. Right now everything is really calm. But we can definitely feel episodes coming, and we know how to handle them,' the reality star added.

The to-be mother-of-four revealed that medication isn't an option for West because he doesn't like that it changes 'who he is'.

'For him, being on medication is not really an option, because it just changes who he is. Traveling a lot does set it off, so he doesn’t travel as much as he used to. But honestly, I never want to speak for him, because I am not in his mind,' she said.

In 2016 West was hospitalized for 'a psychiatric emergency' hours after he cancelled the reminder of his Saint Pablo tour. He'd go on to launch bizarre Twitter rants and open up about his disorder online, before later retracting it completely.

Kardashian admitted that it's 'hurtful' to read comments online casting blame on her for West's rants and outbursts.

'I think some of the hurtful things that I read online . . . . What is she doing? She’s not stopping him. . . . Like it’s my fault if he does or says something that they don’t agree with? That’s my husband. I share every opinion that I have and let him know when I think something’s wrong. Or if it comes to him being in the middle of a bipolar episode, I’ll do everything to be supportive and help to calm the situation,' she added.

The reality star went on the clarify that West does not have a political party he aligns himself with.
