Former and current staffers to President Donald Trump felt scorned by other social clubs in Washington, D.C., so they created their own – The 45 Club.

Although not entirely a secret club, a former Trump campaign staffer familiar with the club told Politico that most details are kept under wraps because '[i]n this political climate, there's a lot of people who would not have pure intentions of coming.'

Another former campaign staffer felt as though the club existed because current staffers are barred from all the other social clubs in the metro area.

'They're trying to create an exclusive club because they've been banned from every other exclusive club in D.C.,' the staffer said.
