A millionaire property developer said he 'deserved more courtesy' because he was rich after he launched a foul-mouthed tirade at airport check-in staff, a court heard.
Neil Grinnall, of Sandbanks, Poole, Dorset, saw red when told his hand luggage was too heavy and he would have to remove items to be allowed on a flight to Spain.
The jet-setting businessman began to shout and swear at Catia Figueira and Michelle Gillingham, calling them both 'f*****g fat b*****s'.
He also yelled 'this is f*****g ridiculous' and told staff he wouldn't fly from the airport again.
The 56-year-old, who is a friend and neighbour of celebrity interior designer Celia Sawyer, was arrested by police at Bournemouth Airport while his wife Joanne looked on.
When interviewed Grinnall told police that he was 'a rich man', had paid more money for his seat and had 'expected more courtesy'.
The court heard he later offered to pay Miss Figueria and Mrs Gillingham compensation to avoid the case going to court.
But he was charged for using threatening or abusive words towards the staff which he admitted when he appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court yesterday.
He was fined £2,500 and ordered to pay £200 compensation to each of his victims.
It is not the first time Grinnall's temper had landed him in trouble.
In 2017 it was reported he received a police caution after he was filmed launching a stool across a bar after sharing champagne with TV star Sawyer and her husband.
