Armed Police opened fire on car that repeatedly rammed the Ukrainian ambassador's vehicle outside of the embassy.

A silver Mercedes raced towards the Ukrainian ambassadors car as police shot at the driver through the window.  

A man in his 40s was arrested and taken to hospital following the incident. 

Police responded to reports that a vehicle had been involved with a number of parked vehicles near the Ukrainian Embassy in Holland Park, west London.

At the scene the vehicle was also driven towards police officers forcing them to shoot at the driver, who was uninjured.

Police shot at and deployed a taser eventually stopping the vehicle and arresting the man.

The man was not injured by police shots but has been taken to a central London hospital as a precaution. 

Police have sealed off the street near the Ukrainian embassy in west London.
