The average asking price of a home jumped by nearly £3,500 in the past month, with estate agents crediting the ‘bored with Brexit’ effect.
They said both sellers and buyers have become fed up with putting their lives on hold as the political uncertainty goes on and are choosing to get on with moving.
Across Britain, the price of new-to-the-market properties increased by an average of 1.1 per cent or £3,447, website Rightmove said. It was the biggest month-on-month increase since March 2018. The average asking price is now £305,449 – which is still 0.1 per cent lower than a year ago despite the bounce this month.
