Police in central Florida have launched a manhunt for a gunman who allegedly shot dead his girlfriend, her 6-year-old daughter, and her mother on Friday night before posting an apology for the triple murder on Facebook.
Authorities say that the shootings took place Friday night in Haines City, which is just outside the Tampa Bay region.
Ernst Cherizard, 38, allegedly shot dead his 23-year-old girlfriend, Eli Junia Normil, inside an apartment complex, according to WTSP-TV.
According to police, Cherizard then shot and wounded Normil’s six-year-old daughter, Elizabelle Frenel.
Federal and local authorities are actively searching for Ernst Cherizard, 38, who is a suspect in a triple homicide which took place on Friday night in the central Florida town of Haines City
Police said Cherizard shot 6-year-old Elizabelle three times, including one which was aimed for her head
Elizabelle suffered three gunshot wounds, according to police.
Investigators say Cherizard aimed at least one of the shots at her head, WTVT-TV reported.
A short time later, Normil’s mother, Nicole Guillume, 48, arrived at the scene. She, too, was fatally shot by Cherizard, according to WTVT-TV.
Normil and her mother died at the scene.
The Haines City Police Department announced on Sunday that Elizabelle succumbed to her wounds at an Orlando hospital just before 11pm on Saturday.
Cherizard and Normil shared two small children. Elizabelle is Normil’s daughter from a different father.

On Facebook, Cherizard wrote a rambling 255-word post in which he threatened to kill himself and claimed that he and his girlfriend, Normil, got into an argument because he was in contact with his 'ex baby mama'.
Police say that Cherizard then fled the scene in a 2011 Nissan Ultima with Florida license plate GZN C82.
Investigators said Cherizard left the scene while young Elizabelle was bleeding from her wounds.
