A revealing map shows how more millionaires flocked to Australia than anywhere else in the world last year.

A total of 12,000 millionaires moved Down Under in 2018, making Australia the most popular location for the world's mega rich.

It is the fourth year in a row that Australia topped the list for migrating High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs) with over $1million, according to the annual Global Wealth Migration Review.

The United States was the second most popular location, welcoming 10,000 millionaires in 2018.

It is believed Australia has become a magnet for wealthy individuals because of its first world economy, high minimum wage, health care benefits and the low crime rate - making it a safe place to raise children.

Sydney, Melbourne Queensland and Perth were the most popular cities for migration millionaires.
