A man who killed a DJ in an unprovoked fight on Christmas Day broke down in tears while apologising to the family in court.

Javen O'Neill told Lismore District Court he thinks about the incident 'every day' after pleading guilty to manslaughter. 

The court heard how the attack at a house party in Bryon Bay on December 25, 2017, was unprovoked, and fuelled by excessive drinking and cocaine abuse.

The victim, Chris Bradley, was described as a funny, caring, respectful and well-liked man, ABC reported.
