Theresa May donned a yellow vest today as she took a break from Brexit to help marshal a Good Friday race in her Maidenhead constituency.

The Prime Minister was in good spirits as she joked around with other helpers while handing out water to thirsty runners at the Easter 10 race. 

She has just come back from a walking holiday in the Welsh mountains with her husband, Philip, as Parliament continues its Easter recess after Britain was granted a delay to leaving the EU.

Mrs May's spokesman denied she would use the trip to plot a new election as an escape - as she did on her last holiday at Easter 2017.
