'Innocent people don't say I'm f***ed': Stephen Colbert rips into revelation in the Mueller report that Trump thought his 'presidency was over' after the probe began Stephen Colbert bought all 448 pages of the Mueller report during his tirade The Late Show host claimed Trump's reaction to the Mueller probe was damning He said Trump's reaction to probe was not what someone innocent would sayBy Danyal Hussain For Mailonline Published: 12:50 BST, 19 April 2019 | Updated: 12:50 BST, 19 April 2019 Viewcomments Donald Trump's belief that he was 'f**ed' after the start of the Mueller probe is not the reaction an innocent person would have, says Stephen Colbert. The Late Show host brought all 448 pages of the Mueller report on stage for his Thursday night monologue, where he claimed the president's reaction suggested he was guilty. After hearing that Robert Mueller had been appointed to the probe, the president said: 'Oh my God. This is terrible. This is the end of my Presidency. I' m f***ed.' Stephen Colbert said that Donald Trump's reaction to news of the Mueller probe was not that of an innocent person Mueller's report didn't clear the president, despite what the attorney general said in a press conference yesterday, and Colbert said that the president feared an FBI investigation would uncover facts about his election campaign which could have opened him up to criminal charges. This, adds Colbert, suggests that Trump had something to hide. Attorney general Bill Barr was another target of Colbert's ire, with the TV star describing him as a 'one-man no collusion spectacular' before playing a series of clips from political pundits suggesting that he is in fact the president's lawyer. He also mocked the four-page document released by Barr three weeks ago, describing it as his 'valentine' to the president. Colbert said that Mueller's report didn't clear the president, despite what the attorney general said in a press conference yesterday In another incredulous outburst, Colbert questioned how it was acceptable for Barr to claim Trump's attempted obstruction of justice could be forgiven because he was 'frustrated' by the special counsel probe. Describing Barr's actions as a 'thinly disguised, coordinated campaign event', the host pointed out that Trump tweeted his Game of Thrones-themed image as soon as the press conference finished. Trump's image read: 'No collusion. No obstruction. For the haters and the radical left Democrats—Game Over.' Attorney general Barr was another target of Colbert's ire, with the TV star describing him as a 'one-man no collusion spectacular' Colbert is the latest high profile star to come out and criticise Barr and the release of the report. Several Hollywood stars took to social media to accuse Bill Barr of a cover-up following the full release of Mueller's report. The heavily redacted report into Donald Trump and Russian election interference was finally published on Thursday and revealed that Congress could find Trump guilty of obstructing justice – an hour after the attorney general said he had cleared the president personally of the crime. Director Rob Reiner was one of the Hollywood stars to blast Trump. He declared: 'Prima Facie: Trump is guilty as hell.' Crucially, the report itself did not clear Trump, prompting Hollywood's elite to take to social media and blast the president and attorney general, lending their support to Democrat claims of a cover-up. Actor John Cusack wrote: 'Barr = complete whitewash cover-up. A press circus orchestrated by the White House.' Director Rob Reiner declared: 'Prima Facie: Trump is guilty as hell.' Mia Farrow said: 'Just stunning to see the Attorney General in the role of Trump's personal attorney.'
