A kindhearted police officer took a suspect to a job interview after pulling him over for driving without a licence - and the man ended up landing the job.
Officer Roger Gemoules stopped driver Ka'Shawn Baldwin in Cahokia, Illinois, for driving with expired plates.
Baldwin then told the officer that he didn't have a valid licence either, but had no choice but to drive the borrowed car because he desperately needed the job.
Officer Gemoules was sympathetic, and didn't give Baldwin a ticket, but could not legally allow him to continue the journey without a licence.
So he did the next best thing and drove him to the interview himself.
And it really was Baldwin's lucky day, because he ended up getting the job at a FedEx facility, where he was hired as a package handler.
