Former Defence Minister Christopher Pyne is set to say goodbye to his much-loved Adelaide home after he put the property up for sale for $1.1million this week.
The property, which is located in Wattle Park in the city's eastern suburbs, has been Mr Pyne's home for the last nine years, and during that time has hosted prime ministers, premiers and cabinet members.
Mr Pyne and wife Carolyn are hoping to sell the home on 16 Ilfracombe Drive for about $1million to $1.1million, and it will be open to prospective buyers between 1.30pm and 2pm on Saturday.
The property comes complete with formal and informal dining areas with a sunken sitting room with a formal dining space
The property in the city's eastern suburbs has been a stomping ground for prime ministers, premiers and cabinet members
The sale of the home is bittersweet for the outgoing politician, who told The Advertiser it will also signify the end of his political career in the eastern Adelaide seat of Sturt at the upcoming federal election in May.
