Law enforcement said they did not send out an Amber Alert when he was first reported missing as there was no evidence to suggest he had been kidnapped from the home.

The Crystal Lake Police Department said Thursday afternoon it was still investigating the circumstances surrounding the child's disappearance.

His parents were reported to be with police Thursday morning.
