An Illinois policeman who pulled a man over with expired license plates has received praise after driving him to a job interview.
Officer Roger Gemoules from the Cahokia Police Department pulled over Ka'Shawn Baldwin on April 17 after noticing an issue with his vehicle.
The officer soon discovered that Baldwin’s license was also no longer valid and his car plates had expired. The 22-year-old man told him that he risked driving because he was on his way to a job interview at FedEx and had no other way to get there.

Gemoules then decided to drive the man to the interview to ensure that he would arrive safely and on time, instead of issuing him with a ticket.
Fox Illinois reported that the man got the job and he said that the opportunity means opportunity means a lot to him as he wants to update his license and plates, buy a new car and care for his two-year-old daughter.
The heartwarming story was shared on Facebook in a post that has since been liked 35,000 times and shared 10,000 times to date.
Officer Gemoules said he was motivated to carry out the goodwill act because he wants to help people.
He told KMOV4: 'I was out patrolling the area and I see him driving a vehicle that had a busted-out side window and then I looked at the license plate and saw that it was expired.
