Norwich has the dirtiest homes in the UK, a study has found.

A nationwide poll found that just 35 per cent of people living in the city said they bothered to keep their homes clean and tidy.

The remainder said they would happily let dust gather. Norwich was closely followed by Cambridge, Edinburgh, Brighton and Belfast, in that order.
