Photos have emerged of the man arrested in the brutal ax attack in New York City that left one woman dead and another woman in critical condition.
Jerry Brown, 34, was charged on Sunday with murder, attempted murder, and criminal possession of a weapon, police told the New York Post.
Brown, who has a violent criminal past, is believed to have entered the Brooklyn apartment of his girlfriend, Angela Valles, and attacked her and her friend, Savannah Rivera.
Rivera, 20, the mother of a three-year-old son, was killed and partially decapitated while Valles, 21, was hospitalized with multiple lacerations.

Police responded a call from the Bushwick Houses on Flushing Avenue around 1.30am on Saturday, where they found Valles and Rivera.
Valles's four-year-old daughter was in the apartment, but was unharmed in the attack.
