A Conservative MEP has revealed he narrowly missed one of the Easter Sunday blasts in Sri Lanka which have killed at least 207 people.
Nirj Deva said he had missed one of the three hotel bombs in Colombo today because he 'delayed leaving the airport'.
Calling the bomb attacks an 'absurd, disgusting, revolting act' he said the eight explosions had left a 'question mark hanging over the entire island'.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack which killed dozens of foreigners including Britons and Americans, and has left at least 450 people wounded.
