Carla Michelle Resendiz, 47, and her daughter Ashley Renee Resendiz, 22, were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and conspiracy to possess marijuana. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) was tipped off by an anonymous caller on April 12, reported the Dallas Morning News. The caller told officials that he or she saw a Ford SUV being loaded with packages that appeared to be drugs at the River Bend Golf Course. Not long after the tip came through, a Border Patrol agent saw the white Ford Escape and asked the women to pull over. It was then that agents found five bundles of marijuana that weighed a total of 275.35 pounds. The packages were next to a baby boy, who was sitting in a car seat. Agents noted that the SUV had a 'Baby on Board' rear window hangar. Photos released by US CBP showed huge packages wrapped in plastic and rope in the trunk and back seat while the baby in the car seat held a bottle. The infant was placed in the custody of relatives following the arrests, according to the newspaper. It's unclear whom the parents of the baby are or how old he is.
