A Florida police department begrudgingly congratulated a person who warned motorists about a speed check-point this week.

Collier County Sheriff's department said that officers were initially set up to conduct a speed enforcement operation in the Golden State Estates neighborhood after requests from residents.

However they were slightly bewildered after motorists adhered to the 45 mph limit after a 'significant' amount of time had passed.
