The body of an epileptic man who had disappeared while on an early morning kayak on Sunday has been discovered.

Chris Dicker, 28, was last seen entering the water on his kayak about 7am at Tallebudgera Creek on the Gold Coast on Easter Sunday. His kayak was later found floating on down the river without a paddle.

'Early morning kayak before the crew wakes up. Good morning and happy Easter to all my family and friends, have a great day,' he wrote.

Police said Mr Dicker had epilepsy and it was possible he had suffered a seizure and fallen into the water.
